We have a list of exciting art talks taking place in our gallery over the next many months!
Each month, we've invited a fine art photographer to display their artwork on our front wall. On the Second Saturday, we will host an art talk featuring the guest artist where they share their techniques and answer questions about their work.
Fourth Saturdays, we host an art talk by one of our resident artist how will discuss their approach to fine art photography and quite often the rest of the story.

Bill and Marty Welch are passionate nature and landscape photographers. They capture stunning freeze frame wildlife photography entailing bald eagles, owls, polar bears, whales and many other species.. Their artwork reflects their travels from the Amazon to the Artic Circle, but even their backyard bird display amazes our gallery visitors.
Jeff's display entails vivid and wonderful Dayton-area scenes like the Dayton Skyline and our Five Rivers MetroParks under amazing light. He has 400+ art prints hanging in offices, foyers, patient rooms, and hallways throughout the Miami Valley. If you are looking for vivid canvas art prints, check out his wall!
Beth specializes in inspiring still-life prints, night sky views of the northern lights, and intriguing scenes from her worldly travels.
Bob's early work entailed capturing landscapes and wildlife, some of which adorn our walls drawing lots of compliments and interest. Recently, Bob started pursuing still-life light painting. Light painting is a photographic technique where the subject is “painted” with light from a handheld light source (such as a small flashlight) in a dark room during a long exposure. This fine control of light increases the three-dimensional nature of the subjects and allows highlights to be placed exactly where you want them to be. I may take as many as 20 separate photos into Photoshop to combine them into the final image. By studying the works of the old master painters one can turn a simple arrangement of a pewter pitcher, a wine glass, and a pear into an almost “painterly” looking photograph.
Bruce's photography reflects his interest in wildlife, aviation and local Miami Valley landscapes
Judd is an avid paddler, printer, and photographer. His display refects these passions, most notably his peaceful river scenes captured from his kayak. In addition to his Dayton Ohio landscapes, his work also reflects his travels to Cuba, the western US and a host of waterways in between.
Dan is our newest resident artist adorning our walls with calming black and white images of the Dayton area as well as his international travels.
Kevin's work favors his interest in old and classic architecture, particularly churches and buildings that have stood for a long time. He also captures the intricate details in nature’s small objects via macro photography. He prints to several mediums, particularly to framed giclee canvas prints.
Bill's wall of prints reflects 50 years of his pursuit of photography excellence. He specializes in roadside photography as he explores our nation's highways, dancers in urban ruin, and peaceful landscapes which calm the senses.
Susan's display of prints serves as a crowd favorite. Her work reflects Dayton scenes but she is best known for her digital artistry. Starting with a series of images, she'll form a composite print that intrigues and entertains visitors.
My passion is to share the intimacy I feel with flowers and the garden. All shots are on-site in my own garden, The Artburetum (intentional spelling), and its ever-changing displays.
Roxann is a graphic designer who maintains a body of photography work and most recently artwork featuring pastels. Our gallery sells her pastels which feature her affintiy for drawing nature subjects like butterflies, moths, and flowers.
A friend of mine took me to the Sugarcreek Photography Gallery in downtown Bellbrook a while back. I was blown away by the beautiful photographs and the reasonable prices. If you, like me, are still looking for the perfect gift for a family member or friend, you definitely should check it out!
“Your gallery is a treat for the soul and the eyes”
“This place makes me happy”
“Looking at these prints, this is a continual feeling of happiness”
“I saw the black and white of the 2 young girls walking to church, and it just brought back so many memories. The photographer was kind enough to hand color the girls in muted colors and make a beautiful print for me on metal”
"Don't tell my wife about this gallery."
"I have been thinking about those two foggy morning pictures since I saw them a month ago. I had to come back and buy them."
The work in this gallery is so fresh, new, and creative, I've enjoyed this visit more than my recent visit to the George Eastman Museum. Note: The museum is located on the estate of entrepreneur and philanthropist George Eastman, the founder of Eastman Kodak Company.
